All Ontario Hydroseeding - Seed Supplies

We are associated with DLF Pickseed (the largest seed company in the world) whose Canadian headquarters is in Lindsay, Ontario. Our association enables us to offer our clients DLF Pickseed’s seed catalogue and their wide variety of turfgrasses that have been developed to perform in a wide range of climates and soils. Selecting the right seed variety will make a significant difference in performance and maintenance from home lawns to golf courses and everything in between.

There are multiple varieties of seed available and we have the ability to access almost every seed and/or seed mixture available, but stock only 55 pound bags of:

Ideal for new seeding of lawns, industrial areas and roadsides. A general-purpose turf mixture that is adaptable and cost effective. Will not tolerate mowing less than 2.5cm.

  • PERFECTION:     Is ideal for home and commercial use for medium to high quality lawns. Producing a turf of medium to high density with an attractive, deep green colour. All Ontario Hydroseeding - Eco Turf
  • ECO TURF:  Provides a low maintenance, fast germinating, quick establishing lawn that is environmentally friendly. Ideal for use in dry sandy soil conditions, lawns without irrigation and areas where minimal maintenance and inputs are required. Once established, this lawn requires less mowing, fertilizer, and water. ECOTURF is comprised of varieties that contain high levels of endophyte which is linked to reduced leaf growth, natural insect and disease resistance, better wear tolerance, and increased winter persistence. Can be used in full sun or partial shade (60% Reduced Sunlight Maximum).

All Ontraio Hydroseeding - Ultra Shade Grass
  • ULTRA SHADE: Produces a dominant fescue turf consisting of fine, bristle-like leaves that can become very dense. Compounding the problem of good turf in shade are factors including dry soils, restricted air movement, periods of grass smothering while leaves are lying on grass. Mow at a higher cutting height for best results. Use in areas with restricted sunlight (50% - 70% Reduced Sunlight).

All Ontario Hydroseeding - Sport turf
  • SPORTS TURF (Non Irrigated): Is a proven mixture of varieties that have consistently performed on non-irrigated surfaces. Developed for athletic fields and high traffic areas that require deep roots, wear resistance and toughness. Augmented with Perennial Ryegrass for quick germination, winter hardiness, dark green colour, tolerance to summer stress and excellent mowability. Prefers full sun but will tolerate moderate shade.

  • GREENFIELD: Is the ideal “CONSERVATION” mixture. It can be used to provide excellent ground cover for land in a holding pattern, wildlife cover, erodable slopes and around ponds and ditch banks. It can be left un-mowed or cut 2 to 3 times annually. Requires little to no fertilizer once established. Intersperse some patches of wildflowers for an enhanced appearance. The combination of durable and persistent grasses with clover produces this symbiotic, long-lived, attractive and economical ground cover. Will not tolerate mowing heights less than 5 cm.

All Ontario Hydroseeding - Greenfield Conservation Mix Seed
  • MTO (Roadside) Ontario Mix:     This mixture was developed by the Ministry of Transportation for land reclamation along roadsides. The MTO mix is a blend of Creeping Red Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass and White Clover. The White Clover and Perennial Ryegrass establishes quickly to provide cover while the slower Kentucky Bluegrass and Creeping Red Fescue fill in behind it. The resulting stand is excellent at preventing soil erosion and requires little to no maintenance.
